Wealden District Council aims to create a prosperous, sustainable economy that is dynamic, flexible and maintains the environmental qualities of the area. It does this through the work of the Economic Development section

- supporting the development of rural shops and services
- supporting the development of local producer and supplier network
- encouraging business involvement in local regeneration projects
- grant-aiding business enterprise agencies to provide support and advice to your business
