The Health and Safety Executive (HSE)(external link)
The main source of advice on health and safety law and practice. The HSE inspectors cover manufacturing, agriculture, construction and education.
Wealden's Environmental Health Officers (EHO's) offer guidance and ensure compliance with the law in the office, retail, wholesale, catering and leisure sectors.
As well as inspecting businesses, EHO's also offer advice and guidance, train staff and managers, and investigate complaints and serious accidents.
