Regulation Adviser
Finding your way through the maze of regulations and red-tape can be difficult and often confusing. There are many sources of advice available, but finding the ones important to your business can sometimes be difficult.
Gail Fenn, Wealden's Regulation Adviser, helps local businesses that need advice and support on regulatory matters by:
- providing specific advice on Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Licensing issues
- providing links to other Council departments, and specific officers who deal with regulations, eg: Planning and Building Control
- promoting and developing the Wealden Local Business Partnership which brings local businessess and regulators together and provides information on topical issues
- researching the needs of local businesses and providing information and training events where possible
- working with other business support agencies to ensure available help can be easily accessed
- providing help in using this website and the wealth of information and contacts it contains for example the excellent Business Link Regulation Check List (external link)
