The Health and Safety Executive - HSE
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE), role is to prevent the death, injury and ill health of those at work and those affected by work activities. This is done by providing guidance and support to both businesses and workers. This is in addition to their enforcement role to ensure compliance with the law. There is a wealth of information on the site plus many templates to help you meet your responsibilities.
Wealden and all Local Authorities work alongside the HSE in providing advice and support, often through the HSE resources available. The inspections carried out are divided between the HSE and the local authority inspectors and project work and setting priorities is done jointly between the organisations.
